I love what the Bible says in Micah 6:8 “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” So simple and yet so profound. There are three requirements for "what is good." Let me share these simple principles with you.
Firstly, to act justly means to do what is right and fair towards others. Secondly, to love mercy means that our acts of justice are not simply cold and calculated, but spring from merciful hearts full of kindness and love. Thirdly, as we humble ourselves and acknowledge our own humanity, we can truly show justice and mercy towards others.
Let goodness flow from you today by displaying justice to all those who you come in contact with, even when you feel they are undeserving! Allow all your acts to flow from merciful hearts that display kindness and love. If your acts of justice do not come from a loving and forgiving heart, it becomes a cold and calculated act that will have little if any impact. Finally, do everything in humility, realizing and acknowledging your own humanity and frailty. Have a splendid goodness filled day! I know that your day will be blessed and you will certainly bless those around you.
