I remember it was a beautiful, hot summer day.  There wasn't a cloud in the sky.  Everything seemed perfect. I went to answer the front door and was surprised to see a big, burly police officer standing there.  He was very polite and asked who I was.  I told him, and then he asked me my sons name.  He then informed me that my son had been involved in a terrible car accident.  I was utterly devastated.  My hands shook so much I could hardly hold the phone to call my husband.  Through all the terror and despair of those moments, I remember  a still, quiet voice speaking into my soul reminding me, "...all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."  Psalm 139:16.

God knew about this day.  Nothing catches God by surprise.  He holds our past, our present and our future in His hands.  If God knew about this particular day, then I knew that He could see me through this time of intense testing.  And He did!  We walked through a long dark night, but He held our hands and sustained us through every single moment.  Our son made a full recovery and lives in great health today.

Whatever you are facing, be assured God knows about it, and knew about it before it happened.  Take courage my friend, He is with you and He will see you through!

I am and always will be,

Recklessly abandoned, ruthlessly committed and in relentless pursuit of Jesus,
